About Jobs On Search and why it was created

JobsOnSearch was built to solve a common frustration: finding relevant job listings without wasting hours sifting through irrelevant results. Traditional job boards and search engines often limit how precisely you can customize your search. As a result, many great opportunities remain buried or hidden from the average job seeker.

The problem

On popular job hunting websites, promising openings often get lost under thousands of mismatched listings. Even worse, many companies post positions only on their own career portals or applicant tracking systems (ATS), meaning they never show up on mainstream job boards. These roles are frequently overlooked, attracting fewer applicants and offering a greater chance to stand out, but only if you know how to find them.

The realization

During my own job search, I discovered that crafting more advanced Google queries uncovered hidden opportunities I would have otherwise missed. The difference was immediate: I started landing more interviews, even for roles in highly competitive fields, and in many cases, I was among the first or only candidates considered. This experience revealed the true power of strategic search queries.

The solution

JobsOnSearch simplifies the process of building those queries. Instead of memorizing complex operators or spending hours experimenting, you can generate tailored Google searches in just a few clicks. By combining job titles, technologies, exclusions, and ATS-driven job boards, this tool helps uncover listings that most job seekers will never see.

The vision

At its core, JobsOnSearch is about giving job seekers more control, more visibility, and ultimately more opportunities. Sometimes the right job isn’t missing, it’s just hidden behind the wrong search terms. With the right query, it can be brought to light.

Who is this for

This tool is for anyone who has shouted at their screen after scrolling through hundreds of irrelevant job postings. It is for people tired of seeing “Senior Vice President of Something” when they searched for “Junior Developer.” It is for anyone who wants smarter searches and better results.

In short: anyone frustrated with the job hunting process.
